Years ago, my relationship with running was rocky — to say the least.
For most of my life, I absolutely hated it.
After years of attempting the sport (and failing) I made up my mind that I just wasn’t cut out for it.
I mean, I could barely run a minute without gasping for air!
As years passed, I came to a standstill in my life where I felt incapable of pretty much anything.
My self-worth was at an all-time low.
It turns out running came into my life when I needed it most.
I couldn’t give you an exact reason why, but something in me decided to give running one last try.
I wanted to prove to myself that I was capable of anything I set my mind to.
A year later, I ran my first marathon.
Running is a metaphor for life.
You get out of it what you put into it.
It was 100% responsible for helping me overcome self-imposed limitations and for establishing my healthy identity.
Trust me…if I can become a runner, so can you!
